Irrigation and Water Resources Management Project is being implemented under foreign grant assistance for rehabilitation/construction of Farmer’s Managed Surface small and medium typed of irrigation projects and assist development of groundwater sources for irrigation together with transfer of management of schemes to farmer’s community of some existing agency managed irrigation projects (Kankai, Sunsari-Morang, Narayani, and Mahakali). Implemented in 4 components, the project aims at to increase production and productivities through the improvement in the irrigation facilities and assist in the reduction of poverty through increased food security.

4. Component ‘D’: Integrated Crop and Water Management (Department of Agriculture and Department of Irrigation).
